The Brief

Justice in the Public Space is the theme of Justice Focus 2020. It is a one-day conference that will tackle social issues of current concern and try to produce action based outcomes for it. A key visual for the event needed to be made to apply onto banners and a poster.

Challenge

Similar to Justice Focus 2019, the concept “justice” was to be portrayed. Adapting the artistic direction of Justice Focus 2019, a visual which depicts the title “Justice in the Public Space” was to be made.

The Solution

Using the artistic direction before to depict the word “justice”, I had put the title of the event into blocks to illustrate the concept of space. I had also used elements of the public space that were geometric photos/graphics of buildings, mosaics of the MTR station and the crossing lane, etc. into blocks By putting these “spaces” together, a bigger space was formed which is the resemblance of a public space.

Key Visuals

I had made 2 versions of key visual, the first one’s the photographic approach and the second one’s the abstract approach. The photographic approach was chosen to be the key visual in the end.

Version 1 (Photographic Approach)

Version 2 (Abstract Approach)

Lanyard

There were two kinds of lanyard, one for delegate and the other for people within the team. I put them in different colours to distinguish them from each other.

Slides

These are some instructional slides I made for the conference, aligning with the same artistic direction of the rest of the deliverables.
