Branding on Printed Materials

The Brief

I was asked to create 2 leaflets for FacePlus A.I. Limited. FacePlus AI Limited provides facial recognition solution service in China. The first leaflet was to introduce their brand through explaining what is facial recognition. The second leaflet was to explain their product B-data.

Challenge

Technological products sometimes appear to be cold and indifferent. It seems hard for normal people to approach and deters potential customers. However, if it is too mellow and snuggly, it will lose the professional brand image. I tried to find the balance between professionalism and affection.

The Solution

Professionalism is the main direction I took for the brand, but I had tried to add some warmth to the design through different elements, the photos, icons and colours to achieve the balance mentioned above. I picked photos of human faces to convey some feelings and emotion. It also makes sense to use human faces since it is a product of facial recognition. The icons were chosen to “soften” the design a bit to make it easier to read. I have also picked a secondary colour, orange, for the second leaflet to add some vibrancy to the design.
